WE ARE HERE!!!
After a looonnnngggg journey in the van, moon shuttle bus, plane and school bus, we are finally here! We arrived at Guatemala International Airport today, and we are all safe and sound! We picked up our luggage, met Pastor Julio at the airport, and boarded our bus to the mission compound, where we are staying. It is absolutely beautiful here, and we all feel like Kings and Queens becuase it is such an exquisite building, complete with courtyard, balcony, and beautiful gardens. Tonight we are resting, getting comfortable in our new environment, and eating dinner! As steve would say, "Tengo Hambre!" the food is great, and tomorrow we will be leaving early to minister at the school Pastor Julio founded. We love you all!
p.s. Alli asks if she can just stay here forever? no college mom?!Some photos for your enjoyment!!!You could say we were
excited!!!
Beautiful sunrise

In case you did not know, we transported 12 violins for Pastor Julio to give to the kids in his school! We had a little bit of fun with them as well! (Korinne had the responsibility of caring for the 1/8th violin. "The Baby One
"as she calls it!) <3the view taking off from Miami!

Encourage each other, love on one another, be a family!! Expect God to do amazing things because he will NEVER come up short. Truly excited to hear stories and see pics.

so nice to know the team is on the ground.I want mountain top pictures, and village scenes, please, and what is a guat? and maybe a few road pictures thankx
Ha Ha.
Chaz asked "what is a Guat" in his earlier posting today.
So, the history- most of the mission team was hanging out, packing the trailer, on the church car-port.
There was the usual friendly, funny conversations and I used the phrase "Guat" for a person from the county of Guatemala. Sorta' in place of having to say Guatemalan.
It was while we were talking about all the little cute "Guat" children. A positive term.
So that is the short history of "Guat".
NO WAY JOSE! haha
i am deffinatly the one who said "Guat." Dad, you came up with Guaty, but i liked the shorty version Guat. i guess you could say we played off eachother, but i deffinatly said guat. just give credit where it's due.
either way, it's a great name for the natives. haha
